I know you  sometimes look at the one you love and think.  I wonder what's going through their mind.  I wonder what they are thinking about.  Are they thinking loving thoughts about you? Do you cross their mind frequently or almost not at all.  Or are they thinking about someone else.  What would you give to be able to read their mind? When you ask the other person the question.  Do you love me? Are they saying yes because they really mean it, or are they saying yes, because they know this is what you expect to hear?  Sometimes in a moment of quiet you will ask the other person, what are you thinking about?  The answers ranged from the word (“nothing”).  To I was thinking about you.  To the many different responses in between.  Think of all the explanations and excuses you get when you ask your spouse or intimate other, the reason why they missed a date or engagement or didn't call. Many times their answers give you reason to doubt. Or their behavior gives you doubts about their faithfulness. If you could only read their mind you would know the whole and absolute truth.  You are not a mind reader, which means you will never, ever know. I've always said it is in the eyes, because the eyes are the windows of your mind.
