I know everyone of you have lost someone near and dear to your heart. Whether it be one’s husband or wife one’s Mother, Father, Grandmother, Grandfather or any member of one’s family; including sons or daughters, cousins, uncles etc. All losses are very painful and saddening.  The degree of pain usually depends upon the closeness of the relationship. Losing a mother or a father, daughters or sons, brothers or sisters, These are deaths are in one’s immediate family Circle.  The devastation and the sadness is felt by all in that family Circle. One loss which can be the most devastating, can be the loss of one’s husband or wife.  There is something about a loving relationship that touches all of the facets of a person’s life, which transcends all other loving family relationships.  The love for one’s mate has the power and intensity to take you to emotional, mental, and psychological highs you never experienced before. The range of emotions you have when you have found the love of your life become the very foundation of your life.  This foundation is built on a profound love and a genuine feeling you would give your life for that person.  This love gives you the ability to share your life with the other person unsparingly You are sharing your heart your mind and your bodies to give love and comfort to the other person.

I’ve always known two halves, can make a whole.  I look at all people as only being half complete within themselves.  The mate you choose is going to be the other half.  It is that union of the two halves which can make that beautiful, dynamic, loving relationship whole.  You have that wonderful situation where two people dedicate their lives and all that they have to make life happy and loving for the other person. I found that kind of bliss and happiness with my wife whose name was SUE.  I always called her my angel, because she was the very essence and foundation of my life.  The love of my life.  When you have such a lasting and loving relationship, I know you’ve wondered what you would do, if the other person were suddenly taken from you.  The specter of a tragedy hangs over all of us.  It was a sudden, terrible automobile accident which took the life of my angel SUE.  After the funeral the sadness and pain would not go away.  I knew that living without my angel was impossible.  I knew what I had to do.  I began to write these words, because my love rides on the wings of an angel.

                MY LOVE RIDES ON THE WINGS OF AN ANGEL.

I shall never forget that fateful day.

The day I lost my Sue.

The voice on the phone told of an accident.

It said, we don't think she'll make it through.

So you see, my love rides on the wings of an angel.

Why did she have to go away?

My love rides on the wings of an angel.

I know, I will join her someday.

If I just could just see her face, when I walked through the door.

One look, would erase all the pain.

Daydreaming is stupid, I tell myself.

Make-believe won't bring her back again.

My love rides on the wings of an angel.

Why must it be this way?

My love rides on the wings of an angel.

I know I'm going to see her one day.

As I got into my car, my plan was clear.

Darling, it's a way it has to be.

I was doing 110 mph into dead man's curve.

Without you, life meant nothing to me.

My love rides on the wings of an angel.

And the Angels are humming a tune.

And my angel, I will be with you soon.
